About Me

Hello! My name is Yu Wu but please call me Wendy. I received my MFA in Properties Design and Management from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the spring of 2022. I am a huge art nerd! I am drawn to all types of creative hands-on work, therefore working in theatre and other creative industries makes me happy.

My fine arts background taught me how to be artistic with intention. My education within theatre and props craftwork has broadened my view on materials, techniques, and sharpened my skill set. I appreciate how craftspeople can use their detailed artistry to turn designs into a reality.

I enjoy the collaboration and communication prop crafts and management requires. It is inspiring to work with a team of people with different perspectives. The creativity and strength in a team is incredible, especially when brainstorming and troubleshooting a project.
